As part of the 12th edition of the Gagné-Bergeron Pro-Am, several NHL players were on hand to answer questions from journalists.
Among them was Vegas Golden Knights forward Jonathan Marchessault, who commented on Max Pacioretty's controversial exit:
Marchessault, who was Evgenii Dadonov's teammate in Las Vegas, also gave his impressions on the Habs' new acquisition:
"He's a guy who's going to sneak in, who's going to do his job. He's going to do a very honest job on the ice. He's still got a lot of offensive production in the last few years. When he played with Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau, I think even my little eight-year-old could have done well with those two guys, but he's a very good player, very offensive, does things the right way off the ice." - Jonathan Marchessault on Evgenii Dadonov, as reported by Mikaël Lalancette. Let's salute here the simply perfect quote:
"[...] for sure when he played with Barkov and Huberdeau in Florida, I think my 8-year-old could have done well with those two guys too."
He doesn't mean to discredit Dadonov's work here, but we get the picture. It helps us better understand the kind of player and the kind of person Dadonov is: a good player, who does his job on the ice, but is quite reserved and doesn't seem to enjoy the attention and the cameras too much.
