All Montreal Canadiens fans remember very well Nikita Kucherov's press conference following the previous Stanley Cup win (in 2021):
He was drunk and he didn't hesitate to deliver his thoughts and to insult the players and the fans of the Montreal Canadiens:
"I didn't want to go back to Montreal. The fans acted like they had just won the Stanley Cup in the last game when they just avoided a sweep. Were you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Their final was in the third round against Vegas." - Nikita Kucherov
A statement that made the rounds on the web and is still being talked about today, especially since this year, it was Kucherov and his crew who were no match for their opponents in the Cup Final. (while last year, he practically ridiculed the CH by saying indirectly that they were not big enough)
Today, many of his detractors and many Tricolore fans don't hesitate to throw his comments in his face. Check out this hilarious image that's been circulating a lot:
Boom! In turn, it was Kucherov who was happy as if he had won the Stanley Cup, after the last game.
