Rafaël Harvey-Pinard has just made a big decision about his future with the Montreal Canadiens
According to information revealed in the excellent article by Arpon Basu from The Athletic we learned that one of the fan favorites, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, has apparently made a significant decision about his future with the Montreal Canadiens.
If Kent Hughes' plan was to sign him long-term at a low salary, he will have to revise his plans.
With good reason, RHP has decided to bet on himself, sign a shorter-term contract, and then sign a really nice long-term NHL player contract.
We love it.
"It seemed possible that the Canadiens could sign him at a discount, long term with a small salary, but that would no longer be the case.
Harvey-Pinard, who is eligible for salary arbitration, will finally sign a shorter-term contract, according to all likelihoods." - Arpon Basu
It's a turn of events, but he's doing well! He will have another 2-3 years to increase his value and truly establish himself.
