Even though the Seattle Kraken is only a few weeks old, the organization continues to make headlines. After several unexpected expansion draft picks and a competitive approach to the free agent market, it's now the team's fans who are the talk of the town.

Indeed, Seattle residents were treated to quite a spectacle on the waters of Lake Union on Sunday, as a HUGE inflatable octopus was spotted on the roof of a boat surely belonging to a Kraken fan.

However, not everyone was happy with the creativity of this amateur. Detroit Red Wings fans were quick to accuse the Kraken of "stealing" their mascot.

For those who don't know, the unofficial mascot of the Red Wings, Al, is also a gigantic purple octopus, standing in the heights of Little Caesars Arena. The resemblance between the Seattle octopus and the Wings octopus is striking.

In short, unlike his supporters, the Red Wings organization doesn't seem to be overly concerned with this story, and they made that clear via their own Twitter account.

So, all's well that ends well! After so little time in the league, the Kraken should be more careful not to get into trouble...
