Sami Niku has finally given his first skate with the Montreal Canadiens, he signed a deal with the team on September 24. We know that Niku has a big offensive potential, but he has been unable to exploit it in the National Hockey League until now.
That said, Niku has not been recognized by his game, but rather by his hair. With this one, he is competing directly with Michael Pezzetta, who also has a lot of hair.
His hair, his number 15 and his fluidity were the things noted by those present at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard.
In short, he was at the Montreal Canadiens' secondary training session, he could play in Friday's preparation game against the Ottawa Senators, just like Brendan Gallagher. He could also trim Chris Wideman's beard by taking over the 7th defenseman position, you never know!
