NHL commissioner Gary Bettman has just said that the 2022 draft, which was to take place at the Bell Centre, may have to be moved because of the health measures imposed in Quebec.
Recall that the 2020 draft, in which Alexis Lafreniere was selected first, was also planned in Montreal, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Two years later, Montreal fans might still have to abandon the idea of attending the draft.
Speaking of the Bell Centre, Bettman also admitted to having difficulty understanding that the amphitheatre could not accommodate more than 500 fans, while restaurants are open across the province.
In short, it really does not smell good for the possible presentation of the draft in Montreal...
