While the Shea Weber file is currently generating a lot of reactions, the Montreal Canadiens organization has just put an end to the speculation and made an official announcement.
Weber, who has been on the long-term injured list since the beginning of the season and has been completely absent from the team's entourage since then, will finally be back in Montreal. It will happen on Friday.
His retirement has not (yet) been officially announced.
Many are wondering if an announcement is imminent regarding the captain, but one thing is certain, the team has made an announcement:
"Shea Weber will be in Mtl on Friday for his end-of-season medical evaluation, the team confirms. However, it is not yet known if he will be present at the assessment on Saturday or even at Lafleur's funeral on Tuesday." - Alexandre Gascon
So that's settled for Friday. For sure, the media will want to ask Captain Weber many questions. Stay tuned!
Remember that according to Luc Gélinas (RDS), Weber will also be present on Saturday for the CH's end of season review.
More details will follow!
