In the last few minutes, journalist Marc Antoine Godin (The Athletic) published a very interesting photo.
Basically, it's all the talk because they put a big picture of Shane Wright, making sure to mention that he should normally be the first overall pick in the next draft:
Remember that, according to several very credible sources, the Devils would absolutely like to draft Juraj Slafkovsky, because they really don't need another young center. (behind Jack Hughes, Nico Hischier and Pavel Zacha)
It's interesting to see this little mental war (between Montreal and New Jersey) become more and more open and public.
They will not win this psychological battle against the CH MA. The edge is that the CH is the first to speak and the Devils will be in deep shit if the CH takes Slaf
The Devils are obviously trying to put pressure on Kent Hughes and the CH to let them keep Slafkovsky and draft Shane Wright instead.
It's a good idea to have a little bit of subtlety and it's a good laugh for the fans.
Can't wait for the draft!
