It's finally tonight that the star player Jack Eichel will play his very first game in the uniform of the Vegas Golden Knights, who acquired him at the start of the season.
The Knights will face an NHL powerhouse: the Colorado Avalanche.
To make room in their roster, to fit Eichel and his contract, Mark Stone was placed on the long-term injured list, a highly controversial move. (Stone should also come back for the playoffs, well, well, like Kucherov)
Yesterday, again to make room, GM Kelly McCrimmon placed Adam Brooks on waivers, a player who was claimed earlier this season by the Golden Knights from the Montreal Canadiens.
This season, Brooks, 25, has amassed 1 point in 4 games with the Habs, 3 points in 5 games with the Laval Rocket and 2 goals in 7 games with the Golden Knights.
He was finally claimed!
Today, the Toronto Maple Leafs have just acquired Brooks.
