We all know that organizations will have to display a small advertisement on their jerseys for the next few years. From there, the Washington Capitals have just made history by displaying a logo on their beautiful red jersey.
In doing so, Alex Ovechkin and his pack become the first team in the National Hockey League to feature this delicate new logo (3 inches by 3.5 inches) on a jersey.
So, the Caps and Caesars Entertainment Inc have capped a multi-campaign partnership agreement to sew the company's logo onto the red jersey (home) as well as the franchise's third jersey beginning with the 2022-23 campaign. For the white jersey, another sponsor will be on it and that one will be announced shortly.
In short, the 2022-23 season will therefore be the one that will launch the sponsors ending up on NHL jerseys. Don't worry, it's going to be tricky and it's not going to be anything like what's being done on the European side.
