With the trade deadline fast approaching, discussions between Kent Hughes and his Rangers counterpart should continue in the coming weeks and we wonder which prospect could land in Montreal.
The case for Kravtsov.
The Canadiens' new co-director of amateur scouting Nick Bobrov knows Kravtsov very well, as he convinced Jeff Gorton to draft him in 2018 in the first round, and the fact that the two are now in Montreal could be convincing the young Russian forward to join the Canadian.
The 22-year-old right-winger is currently playing in the KHL, where he has 13 points in 19 games and played 20 games with the Rangers last season.
Do you believe that Kravtsov could be part of a trade involving Ben Chiarot?
Especially since Kent Hughes mentioned earlier this week that he would rather go for young prospects instead of draft picks, in order to speed up the rebuilding of the team.
The first thing that came to my mind with the Bobrov hire was: Kravtsov will be a Hab by deadline.
That's my prediction and no, I won't speculate on what that trade would look like. Just a gut feeling. Marco D'Amico (@mndamico) February 18, 2022
Va avoir besoin d'un peu plus que deux lettres 😅
J'ai reçu une info disant qu'il est dans la mire de Gorton. Marco D'Amico (@mndamico) February 18, 2022
