In an interview with Eric Engels of Sportsnet, the executive vice-president of hockey operations for the Montreal Canadiens Jeff Gorton mentioned that the Habs defenseman Joel Edmundson could have surgery for his back injury. Damn...
"At this point, a surgery is possible. Everything is possible with him right now. We looked at many alternatives for him, either a second opinion or a surgery. He had a tough year because of that. It was really frustrating. I think it was a situation where he had good days and then he took a few steps back. Now, it's fair to say that the medical team is looking at all the alternatives to make sure he (Edmundson) is okay." - Jeff Gorton
If so, he will not return to play this season with the Habs.
We wish him a speedy recovery.
