We could see Kaiden Guhle land with the Canadiens much sooner than expected

The Canadiens are literally wiped out by the mayhem caused by the Omicron variant presently. With the additions of Louie Belpedio and Gianni Fairbrother to the COVID-19 protocol, the Habs are left with 13 players unavailable due to the virus.
The situation is starting to look like a disaster, considering the roster is shrinking by the minute.
The Habs could technically start thinking about making emergency recalls of junior players. These players must, however, have an entry-level contract with the team.
The names of defenseman Kaiden Guhle and forward Jan Mysak have been suggested by statistician Marco D'Amico.
If the Habs situation continues to plummet like this, we shouldn't be surprised if recalls like this are made.
In addition, there are only six defensemen left in the Canadiens' fold in Carolina right now. Recalls will be forthcoming according to Dom Ducharme earlier today. It remains to be seen if Guhle will be one of them.
