Justin Barron's fate with the Montreal Canadiens has been confirmed

The general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, has just announced a second consecutive signing.
A few hours after announcing the signing of defenseman Arber Xhekaj, he has done it again, this time with Justin Barron.
Justin Barron signs a two-season contract with the Montreal Canadiens
The player who was acquired from the Colorado Avalanche in the Artturi Lehkonen trade is now under contract for the upcoming season.
"The Canadiens have agreed to the terms of a two-season contract (2024-2025 to 2025-2026) with defenseman Justin Barron."

"Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced on Tuesday that the team has agreed to terms on a two-year, $2.3 million contract (2024-25 to 2025-26) with defenseman Justin Barron. The deal will pay him an average annual salary of $1.15 million.
Barron skated in 48 games with the Canadiens in 2023-24, tallying seven goals and six assists. The right-handed defenseman also recorded 11 points (2G, 9A) in 32 games with the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League.»

Justin Barron, 22 years old, is a 6-foot-2, 202-pound defenseman who was drafted in the 1st round by the Colorado Avalanche in 2020.
Last season, he collected 13 points in 48 games with the Montreal Canadiens, and 11 points in 32 games with the Laval Rocket.
