Journalist Arpon Basu reported that an individual was missing from the Montreal Canadiens' presence in Buffalo over the past few days.

It was unexpected because there was absolutely no official announcement, but several media outlets were surprised to learn that it's over for Adam Douglas in Montreal.

Quiet Firing: The Canadiens Have Parted Ways with the Excellent Adam Douglas

«A noticeable personnel change at the Combine.

Very quietly, without any announcement, the Canadiens recently parted ways with their Director of Sport Science and Performance, Adam Douglas.

Douglas played a very significant role at the Combine, analyzing all the data from the physical tests of the prospects. This season, his role was filled by Dale Lablans, who is the strength and conditioning coach for the Canadiens. (He was assisted by Stéphane Gervais, the conditioning coach for the Laval Rocket)»

It seems that Lablans will take over Douglas's responsibilities, but this department will be one to watch in the coming days, especially as the draft approaches.

It would have been really beneficial to have Douglas with the Canadiens for another month, especially since recent drafts have gone very well for the Canadiens, but we will have to see how things develop.
