We have an interesting personnel move to report within the Montreal Canadiens organization. It may seem trivial, but it's not, because it appears to confirm Kent Hughes' intentions regarding Logan Mailloux.
For the past few days, many of you have been asking whether Logan Mailloux is with the Canadiens for good or if he will return to Laval soon.
Here's a clue.
An intriguing call-up from the Laval Rocket to replace Logan Mailloux
In the past few hours, there has indeed been a personnel move within the Canadiens organization.
The Laval Rocket has called up defenseman Chris Jandric from the Trois-Rivières Lions.
«The Rocket has recalled defenseman Chris Jandric from the Trois-Rivières Lions.»
- Rocket de Laval
He is therefore replacing Mailloux in Laval.
Jandric, 28 years old, is a 5-foot-11, 181-pound defenseman.
He has recorded 5 goals (and 28 points) in 31 games with the Lions this season.
He is an offensively-minded defenseman, somewhat like Mailloux.
«The Rocket is preparing for its weekend in Toronto without Logan Mailloux.
Chris Jandric gets another chance to prove himself in Laval.
A left-handed, offensively-inclined defenseman who is having a great season in Trois-Rivières.»
- Anthony Marcotte
So, expect Mailloux to stay in Montreal, at least for now.
Mailloux, 21 years old, has recorded four points in six games this season with the Montreal Canadiens (in the NHL) and notably scored a big goal against the Los Angeles Kings.
