BREAKING: The Canadiens have received an interesting call about a trade following the injury to Kirby Dach
Clearly, the absence of Kirby Dach has created a significant gap to fill in the Montreal Canadiens' lineup.
This will also impact Kent Hughes' game plan, who can now place Dach's contract on the long-term injury list, and thus have much more cap space than anticipated under the NHL's salary cap.
Speaking on TVA Sports about this, Marc-André Perreault made a very interesting revelation. (related to a possible trade for the Tricolore)
According to his information, Kent Hughes has already received calls from other clubs! Many are offering him center players, in particular.
Interesting.
«I can tell you that, within the Canadiens, we have already received calls from other GMs saying: 'Maybe I can help you.'
Marc-André Perreault
Some clubs might also offer the Habs the chance to take on a large expiring contract, in addition to a 1st or 2nd round pick, in exchange for future considerations.
More to come, but Kent Hughes is already on the phone!
There will be opportunities.
And you, what would you do? Nothing? Acquire a center or acquire a 1st round pick and a bad expiring contract?
Credit and details.
