According to the information from the excellent Frank Seravalli, a new young player, a defenseman, is about to enter the NHL.
He was drafted by the Nashville Predators in 2016, 108th overall, but he is currently a free agent and has a very interesting potential.
His name is Hardy Haman Aktell, and he is a right-handed defenseman.
In the top league in Sweden, Aktell collected 36 points (9 goals) in 51 games, which is a really impressive total in a league where goals are not scored very often.
Young Aktell was the second-highest scorer on his team this season, two points behind the leader. He was one of the most productive defensemen in Sweden, despite his young age.
In short, for all these reasons and because high-quality right-handed defensemen are rare, Hardy Haman Aktell would be of interest to several NHL teams (according to Seravalli) and the Montreal Canadiens are among them.
This is a case to follow. It could be a solid addition to bring depth and pure talent to the right side of the organization's defense.
It could be a nice surprise for the Montreal Canadiens, or a high-quality addition for the Laval Rocket.
This is a name to keep in mind.
