Speculation: very interesting trade proposal between the Canadiens and the Flames involving Josh Anderson
In the past few days, there has been more talk about the hope of Habs prospect Sean Farrell.
As a fourth-round pick of the team in 2020, the small American forward had an amazing season with Harvard University's Crimson and was even recently named player of the week with seven points in two games.
Several experts expect him to land in Montreal before the end of the season, similar to Jordan Harris last year.
However, I am not here to talk about Farrell, but rather about his teammate at Harvard, a certain Matt Coronato.
He is the leading scorer on his team with 19 goals (Farrell has 18).
What's interesting about all of this is that Coronato belongs to the Calgary Flames, a team that Kent Hughes has had an excellent relationship with for a year, and as we know, Flames GM Brad Treliving is interested in acquiring Josh Anderson.
Could Coronato become a target for the Canadiens in a potential transaction by Friday (or even this summer)?
Let's say the chemistry between him and Sean Farrell has produced some solid sparks this season, as evidenced by this sequence.
Imagine if Kent Hughes could recreate this chemistry with the Canadiens!
However, the price to acquire him is likely to be very high because Matt Coronato is a first-round pick of the Flames, 13th overall in 2021, and the Flames organization should be patient with him.
But as Félix Forget reports on Danslescoulisses.com, the Canadiens could hit a home run if Kent Hughes could get his hands on a natural scorer like Coronato.
