Sidney Crosby traded? Alex Ovechkin wants it to happen
The star forward of the Washington Capitals, Alex Ovechkin, has just made an unexpected request involving Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
As you know, Ovechkin has immense respect for his long-time rival, Sidney Crosby, and during a recent press conference, he mentioned this.
When asked about the trades or signings he would like to see the Capitals make for the rest of the summer, here is his response.

Clearly, it was said in jest by the great Ovechkin, but imagine how incredible it would be to see them united and to see Sidney Crosby help Ovi break Wayne Gretzky's all-time record.
Let's also remember that Crosby's contract ends next summer (in 2025), and he will be a free agent if he doesn't sign a new contract by then.
Admittedly, it would be extremely surprising to see him leave Pittsburgh, but if the Penguins have another disastrous start to the season, could he be traded at the next trade deadline? Does he want to go through a painful rebuild to end his career?
