Now that we know that the Montreal Canadiens have the first overall pick in the 2022 draft, there is a lot of speculation about who the club should select.
For some, it's a big debate. Personally, I would go with Shane Wright without hesitation, but that's not necessarily the case for all the experts.
One of them is the colorful Grant McCagg, a former CH scout, who is convinced that Kent Hughes and his group must do everything possible to get their hands on the talented power forward, Juraj Slafkovsky.
As reported by our colleagues at Marqueur.com, according to McCagg, Slafkovsky is already ready to make the jump to the NHL and would be perfect to complete a trio with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.
"I think he (Slafkovsky) can play on the first line in Montreal next year and help the team in many ways. Caufield and Suzuki tried a number of wingers last year and no player is capable of bringing the same thing as Slafkovsky. No, it's not too early, the kid is ready." - McCagg
He already sees this potential trio doing damage next year. Do you agree with him?
