One of the big files, probably the biggest, is the one involving star player Patrick Kane, who will probably be traded by the Chicago Blackhawks.
According to Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Chicago and as reported by my colleague Keven Mawn, there is a good chance that the Chicago Blackhawks will trade Patrick Kane to the New York Rangers by the March 3rd deadline.
If confirmed, this would certainly be a very spectacular transaction.
What will the Rangers give in exchange? See the journalist's explanation:
He goes on to explain that Chytil is probably the least likely of the three to leave, due to his recent outburst and because his value would currently be underestimated on the market.
So that leaves Kakko and Lafreniere, and all indications are that Chicago will have no interest in Kakko, who unfortunately doesn't seem to be progressing.
The Quebecer Alexis Lafreniere would be the most logical candidate, according to NBC Sports.
Could we see a monster trade involving Alexis Lafreniere and Patrick Kane? It really seems to be a possibility, especially since the Rangers have some space on their payroll. (over 7.1 million dollars)
We mustn't forget that Panarin was Kane's favorite partner when the two played together in Illinois.
To be continued!
