Absent from the game against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday, Montreal Canadiens goaltender Samuel Montembeault may face surgery.
Initially advertised as «minor,» Montembeault's injury was eventually to the wrist tendon. His case should be reviewed on a daily basis, but that does not bode well for him.
Recall that the 25-year-old Quebecer had impressed this week by becoming the first goaltender in the Montreal Canadiens history to achieve two performances of 48 saves in two consecutive games.
