Jeff Petry and Ben Chiarot know they'll be leaving the Montreal Canadiens shortly, unless there's a BIG miracle! Despite the thought that goes with them, these guys have to find a way to motivate themselves. But how can Dominique Ducharme keep them motivated?
Guy Boucher spoke on the subject on Monday at noon on the «On jase» podcast. For a coach, motivating these individuals, it's hell!
"The truth. It's not just difficult, it's hell. You're now becoming an individual going to work. You take away the fun part, so you take away a lot of your motivation. Your motivation is made superficial.»
The individual's fuel is not the salary, it is the recognition of his peers, of his coach. But if you are reminded that you are not doing things right, it adds a HEAVINESS to your mental condition "of the guy who knows he will leave this environment".
Everyone has already given an employer a two-week notice before leaving, right? What was your condition? How did you conclude your journey? For my part, I didn't do much, so, to a certain extent, we can understand the human behind the player.
