The Montreal Canadiens lost for the 5th time in a row, this time by a score of 4 to 1, to the Carolina Hurricanes. Jesperi Kotkaniemi even allowed himself to thread the needle, his first of the season, which increased the boos for him... It's obvious that this team needs a shock treatment.
But despite such a disastrous start to the season, Marc Bergevin is reportedly in silent mode as I compose these few lines. According to the information delivered by Pierre LeBrun, the DG of the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge would be rather very discreet on the market, contrary to his habits.
Still according to LeBrun, the rumours that Ryan Strome is attached to the Montreal Canadiens must be taken with a large grain of salt. The rumor was easy to build because of Bergevin's connection to the Hawks and Strome's "availability" (1 + 1 = 2).
In short, Bergevin's current belief: he remains convinced that the solution is in-house. Where is this solution to be found? I'm struggling to spot it right now.
