Jesperi Kotkaniemi only spent 12:58 on the ice, but he had time to score his first goal with the Canes, against his former team, while giving away three checks and directing three shots at Jake Allen. Not bad, right? He wasn't flashy, but he got the job done.
What did he motivate himself with, do you think? The crowd, the booing. Yes, he took advantage of us, the fans, at least those who were present at the Bell Centre, to boo him profusely. A unison chant, no less! If it could be intimidating at first, "KK" found it funny and used it in the right way!
"It gave me a little juice to hear the boos every time I stepped on the ice. I had fun. I didn't find it hard, but it was fun." - Kotkaniemi
His coach's speech was a little different, however, as he said that it was not easy to deal with the boos, while "KK" did not find it difficult at all to deal with them.
Anyway, "KK" and the Canes won the game, despite a good game by the Habs, by a score of 4-1.
