Justin Barron reacts to Sidney Crosby's comments following his trade

Last March, the CH traded Artturi Lehkonen to Colorado for Justin Barron and a second round pick. This transaction caused a lot of reactions, including among NHL players.
among NHL players. One of those who reacted strongly to this transaction was none other than Sidney Crosby.
Via comments reported by Kris Letang at the time, during the podcast "Lavoie-Letang", the 87 had severely criticized the transaction.
"Sidney Crosby has known so many talented players that he knows them when he sees them. In his eyes, Justin Barron is clearly in that category. In fact, Crosby believes the Colorado Avalanche made a mistake in trading the promising defenseman to the Montreal Canadiens."

Nice comments from Sidney Crosby following the Barron trade.
It seems, according to what Renaud Lavoie tells us, that the words of the Penguins star have indeed found the ear of the young Barron.

It's worth noting that the CH's new defenseman is skating during the summer with Crosby and Nathan MacKinnon. The two NHL veterans are a great help to the rookie and excellent examples.

Barron had a good first game in the rookie tournament Thursday night against the young Buffalo Sabres. He was even named captain for the game by coach Jean-Francois Houle. Barron should, according to many, start the year with the CH. It will be interesting to see how he progresses over the next few weeks...
