The news just came out that Montreal Canadiens defenseman Logan Mailloux has received an important three game suspension for his major and dangerous act committed in yesterday's game against the Sarnia Sting.
With the score at 7-4, the CH's first round pick in 2021 went ballistic when an opposing player attacked his goalie. The goalie hit his opponent relentlessly with his gloves while he was already down.
Let's just say that in a way, it's good to see that Mailloux is not afraid to defend his teammates, it must be said that his gesture was dangerous and completely unnecessary.
See the images here of the action in question:
It's unfortunate because the 19-year-old defenseman finished the game with a goal and two assists for three points. In 26 games in London this season, he has 25 points, including 11 goals.
You always like to see a player with character and he proved that he can play very tough. However, he will have to know how to control his anger, because clearly his gesture was completely useless in this case.
