Since the beginning of the summer, we have seen many trade rumors involving Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson.

Clearly, his name has been circulating, but can we really expect anything concrete in the next few weeks?

On this subject, excellent tipster Pierre Lebrun was recently on Hockey 360 on RDS and he provided an update.

Lebrun made it very clear that Josh Anderson is currently in high demand on the trade market. General manager Kent Hughes has reportedly indeed received several calls about him, particularly because there are few players with speed and a physical game, like Anderson, in the NHL.

The journalist adds that it will take a lot for the general manager of the Canadiens to let Anderson go.

He then makes an important statement:

"I don't believe in a deal involving Anderson during this season, personally. Maybe in the summer, but even then, I have my doubts. It will be something to follow, then." - Pierre LeBrun

So, to recap, Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are receiving trade offers for Anderson, the other general managers are interested in acquiring him, but a deal is not imminent. (Probably because the Habs' demands are too high)

It remains to be seen if Kent Hughes will receive an attractive enough offer to trade Anderson.

Josh Anderson has 12 points, including nine goals, in 34 games this season.

Do you think Hughes should trade him, while his value is high?
