Carey Price may even get new duties and a new role within the organization, at least until he is able to return to the game (if that is ever possible).
CBC Montreal reporter Douglas Gelevan got a very interesting answer from Jeff Gorton, who first confirmed that Carey will be with the team a lot this season, even if he won't be playing.
Gorton added that Price's experience and leadership will still be a major asset to the club (for the goalies, but also for the entire locker room).
NEW DUTIES FOR CAREY?
By the way, speaking of goalies, they even seem to have effectively opened the door, on the organization's side, to give some responsibilities to #31 as the CH's goalie advisor.
Samuel Montembeault doesn't have much experience, and Jake Allen has often said that he would be happy to have Carey's advice and expertise.
It will be interesting to see what his exact role will be, especially since some are suggesting that he be named the Habs' Director of Goaltending (replacing Sean Burke):
But anyway, it's really positive to see that Price wants to get involved like this. It's going to be a great story to watch, off the ice, this season.
