All of Quebec is waiting for the Montreal organization to appoint its new francophone general manager because this is the most polarizing case here, except for the pandemic...
At the moment, Jeff Gorton began his second wave of interviews and then, according to Dans Les Coulisses.com, Kent Hughes would still be among the candidates. Among the best of the moment, we find, of course, Mathieu Darche and Daniel Brière who also win.
Here is the information provided by the excellent Eric Engels:
«Know that Canadians' GM research may be resolved in the coming days. I'm told there are only three candidates left, and I believe Daniel Brière and Mathieu Darche are two of them. You can also expect a few other interviewees to potentially find jobs at the club.»
So, based on the information filed by DLC and Engels, the three individuals on the podium are Briere, Darche and Hughes. Patrick Roy does not seem to have climbed among the favourites, if these infirmations are accurate, of course.
In short, by the end of January, we should know who the next GM of the Montreal Canadiens is.
