As reported by my colleagues from Marqueur, the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, has reportedly targeted three players he would really like to draft in the early first round in about a dozen days.

And we are extremely excited about these three names.

Ryan Leonard or David Reinbacher are not among these targeted names. Neither is Dalibor Dvorsky.

The account "IB The Gambler," which is behind several major scoops revealed over the past few years at the Montreal Canadiens, has just unveiled some very interesting information.

This is the account that revealed, before anyone else, that Martin St. Louis would become the head coach of the Montreal Canadiens. It also revealed major information about the offer sheet made to Jesperi Kotkaniemi.

In short, according to this same source, see the three targets of the Habs.

"These past two weeks, the Canadiens have done their homework on three prospects in particular: Will Smith, Matvei Michkov and Zach Benson. It seems these are the three players the organization is focusing on the most for the draft."

Benson, 18 years old, is a small but extremely talented forward. If he were taller and bigger, he would likely be in the Adam Fantilli category.

He scored 36 goals and made 62 assists (98 points) in 60 games this season.

He is compared to Johnny Gaudreau.

We rank him 6th in this draft class, behind Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson, Smith, and Michkov.

These are three solid names!
